{ Sterling Wedding } Mary and Michael

What a treat I got when I received the call from Mary last October asking for help with her March 3rd wedding day at Ocotillo Golf Resort. She and Michael had gorgeous and simple ideas for their day. Actually, Michael had the most specifics, he chose the flowers, colors and music for the day. Mary had three requests from us: 1. an understated elegance. 2. To not have to worry about a thing and 3. They didn’t want to go crazy on the budget.

That’s where I came in, with simple ideas to make the tables and decor pop without breaking the bank. When choosing a golf course and outdoor venue, it is important to draw a horizon line, since literally the sky is the limit otherwise. We used chair ties, twinkle lights and simple candelabra centerpieces to do this and it turned out beautifully.

Of course, we had the great colors to work with as the burnt orange worked perfectly on the brilliant green grass and the beautiful flowers by Blooming Elegance added texture and romance. As the sun went down, the candelabra’s glowed and the twinkle lights warmed the atmosphere and provided some much needed soft lighting.
