"Pin-spiration" with Pinterest.

We can all agree that we can’t live without Pinterest, it's an incredible tool to collaborate ideas and offers an endless stream of inspiration and chocolate chip cookie recipes.

Pinterest at its core is to inspire, which is great, who doesn't need an little inspiration every now and then, especially when it comes to weddings and events, it's not something you do everyday. The hard thing for us is that we are asked to replicate it all too often. As a planner AND designer, I am not here to replicate, I want to innovate, to work with other creatives to make your wedding or event more "pin"able then the one you found.

We also see the heartache of a pinterest addiction, almost daily.

There is a reality behind what you see, you see this incredible lush floral archway, that likely took the florist 6 hours to construct and thousands of dollars to create, or the "101 Simple DIY Wedding Projects" that each will demand your time, dedication and money, then comes that overwhelmed feeling that there just isn't enough hours in the day to pull every idea you love together.

My best tip for the day, just remember, Pinterest is to inspire, remember it is a tool to help guide your creative team, not limit them. Also, as for the 1,000's of DIY projects out there, there is also safety in moderation, pick a couple that are important, you can't live without, ask friends and family to help and make sure you are having fun. If it's not fun, it's not worth it.

Cheers,

Care
