Arizona’s HOT new Hotel Palomar Phoenix!

Recently, I was able to get a peek at one of Arizona’s newest and highly anticipated properties, Hotel Palomar Phoenix at CityScape . I have been anxiously awaiting its arrival downtown. I personally love the style and concept of Kimpton Properties, including Scottsdale’s Firesky Resort & Spa, not to mention they are known for their attention to detail, satisfying their guests and, being great to their employees.

Not only is this property stylish, it is well thought out. I mean, you can get a friendly goldfish in your room for company if you are traveling alone. Have kids? They have thought of that too! Wellness amenities like yoga mats and light workout equipment are complimentary upon request. They are also well known for being pet- friendly offering pet dishes and bottled water for “Fido” if he is your travel companion. It is not unheard of to get these amenities as many properties have them but usually a not-so-lovely fee comes with. They even offer extra “tall” rooms with larger beds, shower heads and robes: they truly HAVE thought of everything!

Hotel Palomar not only offers well-appointed guest rooms but also has a quaint pool with cabanas, LUSTRE Bar, a rooftop bar and patio that overlooks downtown Phoenix, and a highly anticipated dining hot spot, Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails. Though I have yet to enjoy Blue Hound myself, I look forward to it experiencing their “innovative gastro-lounge” and “craft cocktails”, what’s not to love about this marriage of inspired cuisine and well considered bar offerings?

It also has many event spaces for both large and small events, my favorite being the Dreamcatcher Ballroom. With retro glass chandeliers, shining mirrors, sexy up lighting, it is a well-appointed space. I am happy to report they shied away from the traditional Arizona southwest carpet and tacky chairs offering sleek, solid square-backed chairs. Can we say stylish?! They also have many smaller spaces ideal for more intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners and business meetings.

I must say Hotel Palomar has become one of my favorite local properties, it’s daring, sexy and stylish- definitely not the standard Phoenix hotel! I cannot wait to do an event here! Check it out for yourself, you can thank me later.
